Make Music Old Lyme!
Make Music Old Lyme returns Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
A great tradition in Old Lyme! Every Summer Solstice (June 21) you will find Lyme Street alive with local residents strolling the street and listening to local musicians. 2023 promises to be another exceptional year for Make Music Old Lyme! More than a dozen different performances take place along Lyme Street from the First Congregational Church to the Lyme Academy. Enjoy items from the Lions' Club Grille in front of Center School, and then stop by the Chocolate Shell or Old Lyme Ice Cream Shoppe for a sweet treat!
Stop along the way to listen to a variety of genres including folk, pop, and Americana, or bring a chair to enjoy your favorite performers from 5pm-7pm!
Make Music Old Lyme Performers
Performing from 4-5pm at LYSB at 59 Lyme Street, Sunny Train is back to entertain our youngest fans! Sunny Train will have little ones (and maybe even the grown ups!) up and dancing and following on. A perfect way to start Make Music Old Lyme by enjoying Sunny Train and, at its conclusion, heading out for street music from 5pm-7pm.

Programs will be available onsite, and as a pdf here. Go straight to the performer profiles here or click on each performer's "Read More" below.
Solstice Jam Finale
After the stroll wraps up at 7pm, the musicians aren't ready to go home! Join many of them as they head to the Studio 80+ barn at 80-1 Lyme Street for a community jam session beginning at 7:30 pm. Bring a chair or blanket and for this intimate musical experience, hosted by our favorite local artist Ramblin' Dan Stevens, while experiencing the beauty of the Studio 80 + Sculpture Grounds!
Food & Fun
You'll find food, family fun, and shopping along the stroll. Enjoy a burger on the Center School lawn where you'll find the Lions' Club Grille. Sweet treats can be found at The Chocolate Shell and the Old Lyme Ice Cream Shoppe. You will find a children's craft in front of the Historical Society at 55 Lyme Street and children's activities and family resources in front of LYSB. Stop in to Homeward Collective at 24 Lyme Street to see their latest home goods and clothing. Phoebe's BookCellar will be having a half-off sale on the Library lawn.
